How do I trade with someone?

To trade with someone, follow these steps:

1. List your own items for trading. You need to have items to trade with. Read the article on listing items for more information.
2. Select an item to trade for. You can do this in one of two ways:
   • Browse through the trades list. Go to the trades site. You can scroll through the list, or use filters to narrow the results. The filters can be used in conjunction with each other.
     • The items filter allows you to show only Steam keys, itch.io keys, products (games, music, and other products), bundles, or Groupees Coins.
     • The alphabetical filter allows you to narrow the results to only those items that starts with a certain letter.
     • The search filter allows you to find items by name. Enter the name of the item you're looking for and click "Find". Clear the text box to remove the filter. You can also search for a user's listed trades. Just enter their name.
   • Look for a trading widget on users' walls. You can browse through their widget to see what items they have available for trading.
   For keys, you may see two different kinds of status messages accompanying the listing:
   • Not revealed: The user has never seen the key, so you can be sure it hasn't been used. This type of key can be replaced by Groupees if it is invalid.
   • Potentially not revealed: The key came from before the key revealing system was implemented, so the user may have seen the key and used it, but has not marked it as used. Keys of this type may have been used. These keys will be marked with a "(!)" 
3. Click on the "Make an offer" button for the tradeable item you have selected.
4. A popup will appear so you can choose the items you want to offer. Tick the checkboxes of products you want to offer.
5. Choose your notification options. Upon a successful trade, by default a message will be sent to the email address in your user profile, but you may choose to be notified at a different address or not at all.
6. Click the "Make an offer" button when you've confirmed your selection.
7. An email and notification will be sent to your trading partner.
8. Wait for your trade offer to be accepted. If it is accepted, you will receive an email and notification about it (if selected). The item you traded for will be added to your purchases page, and the items you offered will be marked as traded out. If the offer has been declined, you will receive a notification about it.
9. If your offer was accepted, after verifying that the trade is completed, locate the trade on the "Completed" tab of the trades site, and click on the "Trade completed" link. This will open a popup where you can enter a comment, together with a star rating. This will contribute to your trading partner's ratings to help others see if they are a reputable trader.
