Chat powers are a fun way to affect other people's messages in chat. If you apply a chat power on to someone, new messages they post will be affected by the chat power for a period of time.
To apply a chat power, hover over the user's avatar, and a user info popup will appear. Click on the "Use a superpower" button, and choose the chat power you want to apply to the user. Click "Yes" to confirm, and the chat power will be applied.
Chat powers are only available to users of the rank Fanfrog and above. If you attempt to apply a chat power on a user with a higher rank than you or a leader of the same or higher rank, the chat power will counterspell and be applied to yourself instead. You cannot apply chat powers to admins unless you are a leader of Playas or higher rank. Chat powers cannot be used in global chats, nor can be applied to or used by partners. You cannot use a chat power on yourself.
Chat powers make sounds when applied. If you do not want to hear sounds from chat, click on the mute button beside the "Submit" button at the bottom of the chat box.
The following is a list of the available chat powers:

| Gender-Bender | 2 hours | This power changes name in chat to "Nancy" or "Harry", and prepends text to some of the user's messages, such as "I feel like I can tell you anything." |
| Zombify | 2 hours | This power changes user avatar to Zombie image; every third word typed in chat is changed to a Zombie emoticon. |
| Romanator | 1 minute | This power translates each word in user's chat messages to Latin. |
| Bopper | 30 minutes | This power adds a sequence of text to some messages posted by user, like "OMG, like, totally...." |
| Emoji Madness | 1 minute | This power makes user's every chat entry a series of random emoticons. |
| Inebriator | 30 minutes | This power swaps the second and third letters of every word the user says. |
| Bomb | 1 minute | This power kicks user out of chat for 1 minute. Can be used at most twice every 24 hours. |
| Kitty Commando | 2 minutes | This power changes user avatar to Kitty and meows every time user posts in chat. This power is only available to users of Boss rank or above. |
| My Bitch | 2 minutes |
This power changes user name to "{your name}'s Bitch". This power is only available to users of Boss rank or above. |
| Yoda | 5 minutes |
This power changes user avatar to Yoda and moves the first two words of each message to the end of the message. |
| Tibbsify | 5 minutes | This power changes user avatar to Tibbs, replaces every second word with a yodeling emoticon, and yodels for each message sent. |
| Jedi Mind Trick | 5 minutes | This power allows you to impersonate who you've used the power on for the next three messages. This power is only available to users of Godfather rank or above. |
| Cure | N/A | This removes chat powers from the user. |
Chat powers have usage limits. For most users, they are twice over 30 minutes. For users of Rockstar rank and above, it is 5 times over 60 minutes.
